Re: pricing - I coach on a need-based, no questions asked sliding scale from $100 - $250/hr. By paying the maximum you can afford, you enable me to continue serving writers across income levels and of varying access to generational wealth.

  • This audit is the entry point for new students/clients of Julia’s who already have a completed draft of an original half-hour pilot or feature script. (Or existing clients of Julia’s who have a new original script!)

    Maybe you’re wondering if it’s “good enough” to share with your network. Maybe you know something is wrong with it but you aren’t quite sure what. Maybe you know you want help with it, but you’re not sure how much help or exactly what help you need. Maybe you are simply looking for an experienced industry professional to tell you not to give up on your script - pointing out to you all the things that are working about it, and flagging the things you might want to look at changing.

    At the time of your appointment or earlier, Julia will read your pilot script and share her general impressions, the script’s strengths and weaknesses, and how she would recommend you either continue to hone it, or get it out into the industry. She will also share with you how she can help you continue to improve the script, use it to pursue your professional goals, or both. The cost of the audit can be put towards any Breakthrough Session you book with Julia. You will fill out some additional information about yourself and your script at the time of booking.

    - figure out how best to spend your creative/career energy over the next couple of months
    - identify a problematic mindset issue you may want to work on

    In one hour, we can cover one of the below: 

    - in-depth creative conversation about your pilot or feature
    - Julia reviews ~20 pages of script with you live on the call
    - a    ction-oriented, wide-ranging networking strategy session
    - figure out how best to spend your creative/career energy over the next 3-4 months
    - identify and start working through a problematic mindset issue

    In 90 minutes, we can cover one of the below:

  • I also offer coaching unlimited by time with guaranteed results. I call these "Breakthrough Sessions." We schedule 3 hours, and if we aren't done at the end of 3 hours, we keep going or put more time on the calendar at no cost. 

    TV Development Breakthrough Session

    Start with an idea in any stage of development (including no idea, just the desire to write a pilot), and leave with a one-sheet for a viable, compelling television idea and characters, ready to start breaking story. 

    TV Story Breakthrough Session

    Start with a viable, compelling television idea and characters, and/or ideas of what the story should be, and leave with a tightly structured, bulletproof outline that showcases your idea and characters, ready to go to script.

    Pilot Draft Breakthrough Session

    Start with a well-structured script based on a viable, compelling television idea, spend the day tightening, tweaking, and elevating it to really make it sing; leave with a script you can’t wait to thrust into the hands of industry readers! 

    Feature Outline Breakthrough Session

    Julia thoroughly reviews any material you have in advance, then we meet on Zoom or in person for as long as it takes to get an outline that you can use to go write a great draft. 

    Feature Draft Breakthrough Session

    Julia reads and thoroughly notes your draft in advance; then we meet on Zoom or in person for as long as it takes to bring your script to the next level. 

    Block-Buster Session

    For writers who, for whatever reason, find themselves unable to make the progress they want to in their creative project or career.
